In 2015 I began preparing for an assignment in a new partnership between Rochester Institute of Technology and Beijing Jaitong University. Outside the city of Weihai, Shandong a new campus has been built that will focus on partnerships with foreign universities awarding joint degrees with a technical focus. The tier 1 satellite is an English language facility comprised of constituents from all over China. In the spring of 2016 I began lecturing on the subject of Global Business Environment to first year students studying for a BS in Information Management Systems. I have found these students eager to embrace the idea of working in multicultural teams and eager to master technology driven platforms for showcasing their work.
In the Spring of 2018 I began teaching Ethics and Social Responsibility. I was awarded a PLIG grant to add an experiential learning component to the class. As a result our students created the Tiger House Society. A campus group focused on improving the environment through student driven activities. Tiger House is an active and inspired group of students, which intentions of spreading their ideas to RIT campuses in Dubai, Kosovo, Croatia and Rochester, NY.
I served for 2 years as the Interim Associate Dean and now hold the position of Associate Dean of Student Services. Today I am privileged to work with a team of committed faculty and engaged students.
